Your tasks
- Routine formulation and manufacturing of mRNA-loaded LNPs, from small-scale production using a NanoAssemblr device to larger-scale production using a NanoScaler device
- Quality control and characterization of LNPs (e.g. DLS, RNA integrity, encapsulation efficiency, lipid composition by HPLC, potency)
- Development and optimization of mRNA/LNP formulation and manufacturing processes
- Troubleshooting and continuous process improvement
- Supporting scale-up activities and technology transfer to CMOs
- Planning, execution, analysis and documentation of experiments
- Supporting general laboratory activities and taking on a broad range of responsibilities within a small team
Your profile
- Degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, life sciences, or a related field
- Several years of hands-on experience in LNP manufacturing and quality control
- Experience in process development, process optimization, scale-up and/or technology transfer to CMOs is desirable
- Experience with nebulization, lyophilization and/or spray drying is a plus
- Flexible, hands-on and solution-oriented approach
- Strong team player who enjoys working in a small, dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken
